Job Summary:

• Responsible for beverage sales and service in the station that is assigned to him/her in the dining room.
• Responsible to ensure that all aspects of Responsible Service of Alcohol polices and procedures are both met and adhered to by passengers & fellow crew, within his/her designated area of responsibility.
• Responsible for promoting and maximizing beverage sales in the assigned workstation.
• Ensures that the wine list is presented to every table and that suggestions are made for alternative revenue generating beverages if the guests do not wish to drink wine.
• Recommends and suggests after dinner drinks.
• Provides prompt, attentive and courteous service to every guest in the assigned workstation.

Job Requirements:

• 2 years experience in five star hotel/restaurant operations.
• Applicants need to include in their resume any diploma or certificate of basic or advanced wine/beverage course or seminar attended.
• Applicants should not have only book knowledge but should be able to prove themselves as a sales person.
• Working knowledge of wine lists that cover all or most of the regions represented in our wine program: Australia, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, South Africa, Spain and the USA
• Strong command of the English language combined with good written skills.
• Ability to describe wine and beverage products in a way that is convincing, pleasant and attractive.
• Ability to identify and close on opportunities to increase sales.
• Ability to pair wines with food.
