One of the largest professional certification associations in the global finance industry uses DataArt as its primary technology partner.

Project overview
The Product Catalog Enhancement and Migration to AWS project is a strategic initiative aimed at optimizing our product catalog management and modernizing our data infrastructure. This project is designed to improve the accuracy, accessibility, and scalability of our product data, with a primary focus on migrating our existing catalog to Amazon Web Services (AWS) for enhanced performance and flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of a comprehensive data architecture that includes product catalog management, data modeling, and data flow optimization
  • Define and enforce data architecture best practices and standards within the organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and maintain product catalogs, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility
  • Implement effective data governance and data quality processes for product data
  • Utilize your in-depth knowledge of AWS services to design and optimize data solutions in a cloud environment
  • Leverage AWS data services such as Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, and Amazon S3 for data storage and analytics
  • Oversee data integration efforts, ensuring seamless data flow between various systems and applications
  • Work closely with software engineers to enable data-driven application features
  • Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and industry standards Establish data access controls and encryption strategies. Identify and address performance bottlenecks in data processes and queries
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval for improved system efficiency

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Architect, with a focus on product catalog management
  • Proficiency in AWS, including hands-on experience with relevant AWS services. Strong data modeling skills and knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)
  • Experience with Big Data Platforms, Data Warehousing, Data Lake, Data Mart, DataMesh/Data Hub concepts
  • DWH/Data Platforms experience (Snowflake) In-depth understanding of database structure principles Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data integration best practices
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, D3.js, and R)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Spoken English
