Cloud Security Engineer
OWBoost provides financial industry clients with leading payment application Way4 in Software as Service delivery model with multi-region cloud installations, clients in different geographies, 99.98% availability, 24x7 operations, security defense-in-depth - few organizations in Latvia have an IT environment as interesting.
Working in payment industry OWBoost must comply with different regulatory requirements Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards, PIN Security standards, EU DORA regulation and voluntary comply with SOX, ISO 27001 and 22301. Information security is one of the cornerstones of our business because of sensitive nature of information we handle.
OWBoost is hiring a Cloud Security Engineer. This person is involved in maintaining OWBoost security with day-to-day activities and improve our security by implementing new features and tools.
You will work closely with CISO and other security team members to build and maintain security solutions as well as with DevOps team to develop our IaC driving security by design solutions.
We are looking for candidate with experience in cybersecurity field who is fast to adopt to ever-changing world and keep developing their own technical skillsets according to changes.
What will you do:
- Design and implement technical solutions and controls to secure OWBoost infrastructure
- Perform maintenance activities to keep solutions up and running
- Work with security solutions like SIEM, PAM, Vulnerability management solutions, etc.
- Provide support for external audits with technical evidence
- Participate in internal audits, security reviews and penetration tests as required (on changes, regular assessments)
- Improve OWBoost reaction times by building automations, managing security systems as IaC
- Be part of internal SOC team. Review alerts of suspicious activities, perform log analysis. Help improve detections of suspicious activities by implementing new controls. Work on on-call incident response schedule with other team members
- Stay current with industry trends, threats and evaluate new security technologies.
What you should have:
- Proven technical hands-on technical experience in information security or cybersecurity.
- Experience with DevOps Tools: Terraform, Ansible, GIT, CI/CD.
- Experience managing and hardening Linux systems.
- Experience in scripting languages, e.g. python.
- Ability to research and drive the implementation of information security best practices.
An advantage if you have:
Note: We are not looking for perfect match. Any missing skillset will be learned on the go.
- Formal education in field of information security or cyber security
- Information security certifications - OCSP, CEH, Any cloud security engineer and others
- Experience working in cloud environments (Oracle Cloud, Azure, AWS)
- Extended knowledge of networking, micro-segmentation
- Experience with SIEM and vulnerability management solutions.
- Experience with secrets management solutions
- Experience with containers and Kubernetes
- Understanding of basic cryptography, certificate and cryptographic key management best practices
- Experience in the payment card industry.

Currently we have several clients in production and multiple clients in implementation phase.
