TECH WATCH SPECIALIST (CHEMISTRY OR BIOCHEMISTRY)
We are looking for an experienced scientist to join European MGI Tech Watch team. By being a Tech Watch Specialist, you will be responsible for providing MGI a competitive advantage in innovative breakthroughs in life sciences, which are often preceded or paralleled with developments in tools and technologies that drive the field of NGS forward.
Position responsibilities
• Screen and discover emerging and innovative technologies in academic labs or start-ups early in their development, and submit investigation reports and proposals, to increase the innovative portfolio and boost the competitive advantage of MGI
• Set up agreement with collaborative groups or companies
• Develop prototype products, complete Proof of Concept stages, and generate demo data
• Work closely with Reseach & Development, Business Development and Field Application Scientists teams to drive the production and application of novel products
Position requirements
• PhD degree with strong background in Chemistry and/or Biochemistry or similar field
• Proven experience in research & development in the field of Chemistry or Biochemistry
• Passion in cutting edge technology and products
• Innovative and critical thinking skills are essential for this role
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Great teamwork and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Availiability to travel for business (EU)
We offer
1. Monthly gross salary 1,700–2,600 EUR, depending on work experience, education, and other skills
