IT Technician (Full time)

The International School of Latvia is looking for technically skilled candidate with an excellent problem-solving ability. IT Technician will be a reference point for all IT related queries at a user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner and ensuring the optimal running of all systems. Good interpersonal skills are a must as IT technician will interact with colleagues and students from various departments and grade levels, and will be required to listen to user technical needs, understand the problems and implement solutions as well as be responsible for running Audio/Visual systems and work additional hours when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
• Managing support tickets generated by staff in a timely manner;
• Identifying and escalating priority cases to higher Tier members or Supervisor as appropriate;
• Maintaining and working with A/V Equipment (projectors, TVs, Smart Boards etc.);
• Running the auditorium/gym sound and lighting systems;
• Proving help with printer maintenance, maintaining an inventory of printer cartridges;
• Providing help with managing back end systems;
• Participate in IT Related meetings.

Qualifications and requirements:
• Preferably a degree in IT or related area;
• Preferably at least 1-2 years of experience working in IT or IT related field;
• Excellent problem-solving ability;
• A high level of initiative, resourcefulness and self-management;
• Demonstrated ability prioritizing workload of daily, weekly and/or monthly tasks;
• Demonstrated positive work behaviors and being a team player at all times;
• Good customer service skills and ability to follow up when needed;
• Highly ethical, honest and open to receive help as well as help others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate to people across a wide variety of technical capabilities;
• Fluency (oral and written) in Latvian and English

Salary from EUR 900-1100 gross, health and accident insurance.
