Intrum is in process of becoming a data-driven organization. The plan is to have a public cloud solution within one year and move the whole infrastructure there. Currently, the team of Data Operations consists of two Java Developers, one Data Engineer and a Lead. The target is to have about 20+ people in the team overall (that excludes other teams like data quality, BI, data scientist, etc.). Overall D&A team is planned to grow 140+ by the end of the year 2022.

This is the job.

You will be responsible for creating solution designs, architecture blueprints for future D&A platform. Guide developers and DevOps to provide support and ensure proper implementation.
In particular it means:

• Creation of solution design and architecture blueprints together with the Data architect, BI architect and other team members;
• Take responsibility of being technical lead for the cloud solution;
• Guide other teammates during development, clarify used approaches, support during implementation, etc.
• Ensure that system supports scalability, is extendable for the future needs, is secure and is compliant to the company policies;
• Identify, communicate and mitigate risks, assumptions, issues and decisions throughout full life cycle.

You have:

• 5+ years of experience in IT;
• 3+ years of experience in designing Azure cloud solutions with deep understanding of cloud architecture best practices and design patterns;
• Strong experience in designing and delivering scalable solution using containers (Kubernetes, Docker);
• Good understanding of firewalls and networks topologies;
• Recent hands-on experience with DevOps toolsets (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, etc.);
• Experience with security best practices;
• Experience with high availability/clustering, backup and disaster recovery;
• Deep understanding of coding best practices and modern architectural patterns, including micro services and message-driven architectures;
• Experience of setting up, deploying and managing multiple environments to support agile development approaches;
• Experience with Helm, Terraform, ARM templates and/or others;
• Experience with cloud monitoring solutions;
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills;
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills;
• Fluent English.

Seen as advantage:

• Experience in designing big data platforms and/or reporting platforms;
• Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure HDInsight, Spark, Delta lake, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Hadoop;
• Experience with delivering capabilities for Advanced Analytics and/or reporting solutions (Jupyter, QlikView, Tableau, Power BI, etc.);
• Knowledge of Lakehouse architecture;
• Experience with data pipelines definitions;
• Azure AZ-304 Design Architecture Certification;
• Other industry certificates.
