Latvia MGI Tech, a part of BGI Group - one of the world’s leading genomics organizations, is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide full support in daily inspections and maintenance to ensure facility and equipment; (incl. small repairs and small construction activity)
• Supervise contractors in equipment installations and repairs;
• Draft and carry out an equipment maintenance plan and keep records and statistics data accordingly.
• Establish and maintain an equipment maintenance ledger;
• Evaluate existing systems and suggest an improvement plan;
• Oversee waste disposal, the garbage collection to meet the requirements of local regulations;
• Support laboratories and warehouse, including office (example: driving to the shop/any other places requested by Office Administrator);
• Support with cleaning activities;
• Quickly response (ex.: emergency availability 24/7);
• Drive the company’s work car if it is required regarding the work;
• Assist with other duties during working hours if given by the direct manager.

Job Requirements:

• College degree or equivalent;
• Background in repair and operation of mechanical and electrical systems;
• Good communication skills in both Latvian and English languages;
• Minimum of 2–3-year experience in a similar position;
• Patience and dedication, quick problem-solving skills;
• Understanding of electricity network;
• Water supply and wastewater collection system understanding and construction & repair skills;
• Driving license (B category)
