CLIENT
The client is a global asset, investment, and financial product management company operating across the United States and in over 40 other countries.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
DataArt engages with the customer by working with a different team and areas across Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, and Data Architecture.
We are collaborating to create advanced platforms for business intelligence and data analytics.
TEAM
The team is concerned with creating customized dashboards, reports, and visualizations by using both in-house and external data sources.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Product Owner to join our project team.
Responsibilities
- You will be a liaison between the business users, internal systems team and external vendors, initiating and managing projects, supporting production issues, and managing vendor/system releases. It is required to perform business process reviews and document current business and system workflows and recommend future state workflow changes, working with business users, vendors and IT when applicable.
Requirements
- Excellent relationship management experience, able to carefully manage business expectations with pragmatic and realistic technology delivery
- Strong investment management domain knowledge including risk management, portfolio management, trading, and research
- Knowledge of Fixed income, Structured Finance (MBS, CMBS, ABS) and Derivative Instruments
- Good understanding of numerical programming, probability theory and monte-carlo methods (Investment Strategies Position)
- Familiarity with sector and factor-based attribution models
- Experience with supporting alternative data in an investment research context.
- Knowledge of ESG data and its use in investment analysis is a plus
- Experience with setting technology strategy in alignment with business priorities; able to guide and balance both technology and business delivery in line with industry best-of-breed solutions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working on multiple tasks with competing priorities both independently and within a team construct
- Demonstrated experience in iterative, continuous improvement delivery based on Agile and DevOps development principles
- Experience with JIRA or other tools used to support Agile development methodology

Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree with concentration(s) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, Data Analytics or Engineering
- MBA, CFA, other applicable masters level work such as Statistics or Quantitative Finance or equivalent experience will be considered
- Industry experience in Aladdin, Bloomberg, POINT, FactSet, etc.
- Technical experience in AWS, Python, SQL, Java, etc.
- Prior experience/knowledge of working with Numpy/Scipy, Pandas and Notebook environments
- Hands-on experience overseeing development activities and supporting front-office
- Fixed Income trading and analytic systems
