Math Teacher

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Teacher of IGCSE, A Level and IB DP Maths to join our vibrant internationally minded community. The suitable candidate should have experience of teaching the Cambridge International syllabus.

The candidate will be a suitably qualified graduate with strong specialist knowledge of the IGCSE, A Level and IB DP, ideally with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.

They should be a team player who is keen to work in an internationally minded school which is expanding in pupil numbers as we open our new secondary school site.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Be suitably competent in the delivering of Maths lessons to IGCSE, A Level and IB DP, ensuring content delivered emphasises the relevance to everyday life of Mathematics studied in the classroom, as well as the importance of Mathematics to many careers.
  
• Be at home within the classroom and online; being able to plan and conduct lessons using Microsoft Teams, Zoom.
• Be experienced and passionate in using your knowledge of current theory and practice in teaching and learning, and SEND, to provide a highly effective and differentiated curriculum delivery, in a stimulating and enjoyable way.
• Be an enthusiastic team player, willing to go above a beyond to facilitate the learning and experience of the young people in your care.
• Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils and contribute positively to the life of the school.

Candidate’s qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Education
• Excellent English language knowledge
• Experience working in an international environment
• Able to map and plan a Maths curriculum, designing differentiated teaching tasks for children with English as a second language.
