As Group Chief Accountant at Delfin Group, youll play a crucial part in managing our daily accounting operations, implementing process improvements, and leading a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily accounting work for Delfin Group entities, ensuring smooth execution of all accounting processes.
- Lead and mentor a dedicated team of accounting professionals, acting as a reliable team leader and mentor while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
- Manage and oversee tax and statistical reporting for Delfin Group in Latvia.
- Serve as back up for payroll calculation in Latvia.
- Participate in audits for both individual companies and consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee the selection and implementation of a new accounting system, ensuring smooth integration and usability.
- Initiate and implement projects to enhance the efficiency of accounting processes, ensuring alignment and standardization across the organization.
- Actively collaborate with colleagues across departments, assisting with accounting and tax-related inquiries to support various business needs, including budgeting, forecasting, and other strategic financial initiatives.
Requirements:
- Higher university education in finance, accounting, or audit.
- At least 3 years as a Chief Accountant, with experience in leading a medium-sized team.
- Strong knowledge of current tax laws and accounting standards.
- Excellent Excel skills and a good command of English.
- Ability and willingness to work in a dynamic, changing environment, with a proactive approach to initiating and leading changes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team
Amongst other competencies an advantage will be:
- Experience working in group companies.
- Understanding and application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Experience in the financial services and / or retail sector.
Compensation:
Each candidate we meet with is considered individually to understand their professional skills, experience, and how they can enrich our company, while also taking into account their personal goals and growth aspirations. The salary we offer is starting from 3500 EUR gross.
