🕹Why you’ll love working at Mapon

You’ll join a profitable, fast-scaling company backed by strong financial fundamentals and a track record of disciplined growth. We’re now entering the next phase - expanding across Europe.

You’ll join a company with strong foundations and ambitious growth goals.

We are actively exploring how AI can redefine fleet management and operational efficiency, and you’ll play a key role in turning that potential into real products and impact. We move fast, take ownership, and continuously push for better results together.

🎯About the role

We are looking for an experienced Lead QA automation engineer to join our upcoming platform engineering team and to take ownership of establishing and scaling our test automation practices across multiple development teams.
This is a hands-on role where you will design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks, mentor existing QA specialists, and collaborate closely with developers and DevOps to ensure seamless and efficient quality assurance processes across the entire software lifecycle.

🤝What you’ll do

  • Introducing, building, and maintaining automated testing suites (E2E, API, integration, and regression) for existing and new systems, using Playwright as the core technology;
  • Defining and implementing best practices, standards, and documentation for test automation, ensuring consistency, scalability, and maintainability across teams;
  • Collaborating with DevOps to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve the overall quality gate process;
  • Continuously auditing and evolving testing frameworks, promoting testability and automation-first principles in ongoing development;
  • Evaluating and integrating AI-assisted QA tooling, from LLM-driven test generation and intelligent test selection to AI-powered visual regression and root cause analysis, ensuring practical adoption where it delivers measurable value;
  • Mentoring, coaching, and upskilling manual QA specialists in automation approaches and effective testing strategies;
  • Championing an AI-first mindset within QA practices, helping team members effectively use AI tools for test creation, debugging, and test maintenance while establishing guidelines for responsible and productive AI usage;
  • Actively contributing to the QA Guild, sharing insights, driving process improvements, and helping shape the company-wide QA strategy;
  • Supporting development teams with quality metrics, root cause analysis, and structured feedback to enhance reliability, performance, and user experience.

🧩Who you are

  • Proven experience in building and maintaining automated testing frameworks in brownfield projects, ideally with Playwright or a similar modern framework;
  • Strong understanding of different automation approaches – including end-to-end, API, performance, and BDD-style testing;
  • Hands-on experience in integrating automated tests with CI/CD environments and collaborating with DevOps on automation processes;
  • Deep understanding of QA methodologies, quality metrics, and test design principles, with the ability to balance business value and technical integrity;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead by example, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams;
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide QA engineers, helping them transition from manual to automated testing;
  • Experience in cross-team collaboration and proactive involvement in early stages of product design and planning;
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement, innovation, and practical problem-solving within the QA domain.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered QA tooling (e.g., LLM-assisted test generation, intelligent test prioritization) and a demonstrated ability to adopt new AI tools into established workflows.
