Miller Retail Latvia is part of The Miller Group, an international retail and distribution group headquartered in Malta. The Miller Group is a long-standing partner and franchise operator of WHSmith, managing WHSmith stores across major European travel hubs, including airports in Malta, Athens, Thessaloniki and Belgrade. The Group is now expanding its operations to Latvia, bringing the internationally recognised WHSmith travel retail concept to Riga Airport.
The company is building its local team and looking for
AIRPORT OPERATIONS MANAGER
Your key responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the retail outlets at Riga Airport, ensuring high operational and customer service standards
- Manage, motivate and develop the team, including work schedules, performance and training
- Monitor KPIs and drive improvements in sales, productivity and profitability
- Oversee supplier relations, stock management, inventory and merchandising standards
- Ensure compliance with legal and company requirements and coordinate store maintenance
- Liaise with Riga Airport administration and report regularly on operational performance to senior management
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in retail operations, store management or a similar management role
- Proven experience in leading and developing teams
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
- A commercial mindset with a good understanding of KPIs and sales performance
- A hands-on, responsible and results-oriented approach
- Fluent Latvian and good working proficiency in English (for collaboration with the team and management in Malta)
