About the role

At If Insurance, we are scaling Agentic AI into everyday operations to support our employees and customers. Our AIKA Squad, part of the Intelligent Automation Enabler unit, develops and operates AI agents and agent platforms that help automate business processes across the organization.

We are now looking for experienced Agentic AI Developers who can combine strong software and AI engineering skills with hands-on experience in the n8n workflow automation platform.

In this role, you will develop capabilities for our AIKA Agent platform and build end-to-end AI-enabled workflows with n8n. You will connect agents, business systems, data sources and human decision points into secure, reliable production solutions. If you are excited about LLMs, agentic systems, workflow automation, enterprise-grade architecture and turning AI into tangible business value, you will feel at home with us.

You’ll be working at the heart of If, collaborating across all If Countries, Business Areas, Tribes, and Squads, as well as with the whole IT organization.

Our international Intelligent Automation unit consists of skilled professionals across six locations: Espoo, Turku, Copenhagen, Riga, Vilnius, and Kuala Lumpur. We have already successfully scaled RPA as well as Generative AI assistants across the company and are now on track with Agentic AI journey. What are you going to do?

Design, build and operate AI agents capable of reasoning, planning, using tools and collaborating with other agents
Build end-to-end AI-enabled workflows using n8n
Develop reusable capabilities and integrations for our AIKA Agent platform
Connect AI agents with enterprise applications, APIs, data sources and business processes
Design workflows that integrate deterministic automation, such as RPA, with generative AI and human decision-making
Implement robust evaluation, tracing, monitoring, error handling and safety controls
Apply secure engineering practices to credentials, identities, data access and integrations
Work closely with business teams to take use cases from initial idea to production
Contribute to shared development standards, reusable components and platform governance

What do we expect from you?

You are a pragmatic software engineer with a strong interest in Agentic AI and intelligent workflow automation. You enjoy solving complex problems by combining AI models, software components, APIs and business systems into reliable end-to-end solutions.

You balance experimentation with engineering discipline, security and operational reliability. You are comfortable taking ownership, collaborating across organizational boundaries and working hands-on with solutions that run in production.

You do not need to be an AI researcher. We are looking for an engineer who enjoys building dependable systems that create measurable value.

You have experience of:

Agent & LLM Development

Designing and building production workflows with n8n
Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI
LLM orchestration (agents, tools, function calling, routing, planners)
Familiarity with evaluation and observability tools for LLM systems

Microsoft & Cloud

Azure AI / MS Foundry
Microsoft Agent Framework (or similar agent frameworks)
Azure services: Functions, App Services, Storage, Key Vault, Event Grid, API Management
Networking, identity and access using Entra ID

Software Engineering

C# (.NET), TypeScript/React, or Python (ideally more than one)
CI/CD with Azure DevOps
Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or Bicep)
Designing reliable cloud-native applications and integrations
MCP-based tool and system integration
LLM supported development tools like GitHub Copilot

Our promise to you

Monthly salary: €3500–€5500 in Latvia / €4000–€5500 in Lithuania, depending on your qualifications. Salary ranges may vary due to differences in employment taxation across Baltic countries.
