What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, payroll, or finance operations, ideally in a role combining both.
- Experience with payroll and payments across multiple countries or entities.
- Working knowledge of tax principles for employees, contractors, or partners in an international setting.
- Experience working with external tax advisers, auditors, or accounting firms.
- Experience with monthly closing and preparing statutory financial reports, ideally for companies in Latvia or other EU countries.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
- Comfortable with a startup environment: self-driven, organized, and able to work with ambiguity.
- Proven ability to build or improve processes rather than only follow existing ones.
What You'll Do
- Process and oversee payments across the group, including partner payouts, intercompany transactions, and supplier invoices.
- Act as the main point of contact for partners on payment, payroll, and tax questions, giving clear and timely answers.
- Advise on everyday tax matters and flag issues that need specialist input.
- Work closely with external tax advisers, accountants, and consulting firms, preparing and providing the data and documents they need.
- Maintain accurate payment and payroll records and support month-end and year-end closing.
- Identify opportunities to automate or simplify recurring finance tasks.
