We’re looking for an experienced professional to join one of our cross-functional teams in the Architect’s role. As a Software Architect you’ll be working on scoping, designing, overseeing, implementing, and deploying challenging projects in a large-scale e-commerce environment. You will be also working with other Architects on reviewing architecture of other teams’ projects and run Code Ownership initiatives aimed at improving code quality, refactoring and removing technical debt.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working with Product Owners on Scoping of the projects
- Developing implementation Architecture
- Presenting Architecture to the team, participating in and overseeing development
- Doing Architecture and Code review
- Optimizing development efficiency
- Designing software for scalability and high-load
- Keeping code and systems resilience, scalability, and maintainability on a high level
- Researching, studying and using innovative open-source technologies
Skills & Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience of active development with PHP
- Advanced understanding of Object-Oriented Concepts, Design Patterns and Principles
- Knowledge of modern Software Architecture approaches, its pros and cons
- Experience with Symfony (preferred) or with any other modern PHP framework
- In-depth knowledge of SQL (MySQL is a must, MS SQL considered a plus)
- Front-end knowledge and experience with React is considered a plus
- Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Clustering, Load-balancing
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is considered a plus
- In-depth experience with ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, Apache Cassandra will be considered as a huge plus
- At least upper-intermediate level of English
- Great communication skills
- Understanding of Agile principles
- A degree in Computer Science, IT or related field is considered a plus
