ABEDD is located in Kalnciems, Jelgavas nov. and looking for Latvian/Russian & English speaking PRODUCTION MANAGER with engineering background.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Manufacturing Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance
o Enforce and update as needed company safety policies.
o Ensure manufacturing operations are performed within FSC, ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards and guidelines.
o Establish procedures and controls to attain 100% accuracy and on-time-delivery on all customer shipments.
o Establish and maintain procedures to investigate customer complaints and implement solutions to those complaints when relating to the production process. - Production Process
o Develop an in–depth knowledge of the production process specifically the operation, performance and maintenance of the production equipment and supporting platforms;
o Develop, organize and oversee implementation of the new production lines as and when necessary. - Materials Purchasing
o Maintain & control inventory levels at appropriate levels at all times.
o Periodically review suppliers’ pricing for cost savings and efficiencies.
o Supervise monthly inventory counts. - Management of Production Personnel
o Set goals and plans with each team member and periodically review their progress towards attaining those goals
o Delegate appropriate authority and responsibility as well as implement necessary controls to ensure all work is being performed to company standards.
o Ensure company policies are enforced and necessary employee discipline procedures are in place.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
o Minimum of 5 years experience within a manufacturing production/processing industry – knowledge of the wood industry preferable
o Knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning to understand and contribute to a project’s profit/loss profile.
o Ability to establish a teamwork environment in all manufacturing areas and lead by example.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other project management software
o Good English language knowledge in addition to Latvian and/or Russian.
o Driving license (Due to practical reasons candidate shall live within 40km from Kalnciems.)
