• Analyze a wide range of macroeconomic data, and explore selected issues in-depth
• Manage databases and keep them up to date
• Interpret and explain macroeconomic data to the general public and the media
• Tell a story via graphs using Macrobond and Excel
• Prepare presentations on PowerPoint
• Assist in forecasting macroeconomic variables for the Latvian economy
• Collaborate with and learn from economists in all the home markets of Swedbank

What you need in this role:

• A university degree in Economics, Finance or Banking (relevant professional experience is an advantage, but not a requirement )
• An understanding of global and local macro and financial market trends
• Excellent analytical, writing, communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with forecasting and macroeconomic quantitative techniques is a plus
• Written and spoken fluency in English and Latvian
• Proven ability to work well in a team, to be cooperative and open
• Attention to detail, capacity for fast-paced, intensive work and willingness to learn
