QA Assistant

The customer of I-Work is a manufacturing company that produces sustainable and organic food ingredients and food products, which has recently been acquired, bringing international know-how and best practices to the company. Main responsibilities

Develop, implement and manage an integrated program to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, sanitation and regulatory requirements for food products and operations;
Manage serious product incidents through the product crisis management process;
Coach and train Quality Assurance staff to ensure consistent interpretation and application of standards and procedures;
Contribute to cross-functional project teams to develop and implement new quality assurance programs and process improvements;
Collaborate globally to align QA programs across the company;
Update department manuals, standards, training programs and operational tools as needed;
Monitor and maintain a quality assurance and quality control system;
Analyse quality metrics, customer feedback and workgroup input;
Host quality audits from certification bodies and customers;
Conduct statistical analyses of food safety and quality data to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

University degree in appropriate discipline;
Fluency in English;
Experience with QA measuring and testing equipment;
Two to five years' experience in QA;
Knowledge of safety requirements and legal standards;
Working knowledge of quality system requirements;
Experience with MS Word, Excel, Project Management and Analytics software.
