This is the job.
- Install, configure, and maintain Postgres and Mariadb databases on Linux platforms;
- Optimize database performance to ensure high availability, fast query response time, and efficient resource utilization;
- Monitor database health and performance to proactively detect and resolve issues;
- Implement and maintain database security, including access control, data encryption, and compliance with industry standards and best practices;
- Backup and recover data to ensure data availability and disaster recovery readiness;
- Patch and upgrade database software to fix vulnerabilities and ensure compatibility with other software;
- Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to plan and execute database changes, upgrades, and migrations;
- Develop and maintain documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides;
- Communicate with other teams and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide timely and effective support;
- Improve and automate daily routine and processes.
You have:
- At least 2 years of experience in Postgres and Mariadb database administration;
- Proficiency in database installation, configuration, maintenance, backup and recovery, and patching, HA solution and clusters;
- Experience with database security and and access configuration based on compliance standards;
- Ability to analyze and optimize database performance;
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating system and shell scripting;
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Experience in troubleshooting and incident resolution;
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment;
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and solutions;
- Considered as advantage if you have knowledge in MongoDB and Cloud technologies.
