Tax manager
We are looking for a Tax Manager who will work together with our accounting and finance teams. The Tax Manager will play an important role in managing the companys tax compliance, reporting and advisory functions across our key markets (EU, North America.) The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax law (local, EU and international), excellent analytical skills, strong team player and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage tax matters in Latvia and in our key markets (corporate income tax, GST/sales and use tax, VAT, WHT and other taxes and duties);
- Assist to monitor the tax positions of group entities in the US and Australia and provide regular updates and analysis;
- Working independently and as part of a team to develop and implement tax policies and internal procedures for improving compliance processes;
- Preparing recommendations for resolving tax-related matters, coordinating tax reporting and dispute resolution matters with the relevant tax authorities;
- Assist with transfer pricing matters and provide guidance on intercompany transactions;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal and operations, etc to ensure tax considerations are incorporated into business decisions;
- Identify and manage tax risks / opportunities;
- Conduct research on tax issues and stay updated on changes in applicable tax laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- 4 to 6 years full suite tax experiences in an international company (preferably in both multinationals and big four);
- Bachelors Degree in Tax Administration, Accounting or Finance or other relevant field;
- Knowledge and experience dealing with cross border tax matters and local tax issues;
- Proficiency in English and Latvian;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to liaise with management, internal teams and external advisors;
- Experience in a fast-paced environment and ability to take on challenges and work under pressure;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
