Introduction to the role
Safety Officer Fatigue Risk Management (SO-FRM), works in Norse Safety Department for both Norway and UK AOCs. The main tasks for the role include handling, investigating and following up on Fatigue Safety Reports as well as their potential corrective actions. In addition to this, you will attend regular Safety and Operational meetings related to Fatigue Risk Management (FRM). As a SO-FRM, youll work both with multiple internal departments and 3rd party providers.
Fatigue Risk Management (FRM) is crucial for both safety and operational success within Norse. As part of the Safety Team, youll provide recommendations to the operational departments based on your expertise and experience. The development of our company FRM is a continuous process always striving to improve, and you will be a crucial part of this.
As a SO-FRM, you will be expected to lead with example and be an ambassador for FRM towards all your colleagues. Encouraging and supporting effective FRM both in the office and on-the-line. Being an SO-FRM is more about curiosity, ownership, effective communication & continuous improvement. Being able to focus on both the big picture and the details, whilst not forgetting that FRM is all about people.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Managing Safety Reports related to fatigue
- Conducting Safety Investigations
- Producing safety related material and safety promotion documentation
- Monitoring Safety Performance Indicators and data gathering related to FRM
- Follow-up of corrective actions for safety issues
- Communicating with, and providing feedback to, 3rd party providers involved the FRM processes
Required qualifications and certifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience within Safety and/or Fatigue role. Other experience within a related field will be considered.
- Experience, knowledge, and/or willingness to learn about FRM regulations, scientifical principles and procedures
- Knowledge of EASA regulations related to FRM
- Understanding of Safety Management Systems
- Knowledge, understanding and embracement of Just Culture principles
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal English
- Excellent MS Word & Office skills. (Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint)
