We're looking for a hacker-minded Senior Frontend Engineer who thrives on solving hard problems whether it's optimizing real-time UI performance, integrating AI-powered copilot, or crafting intuitive UX that fulfills business requirements.
We don't expect you to have a background in everything we use, but we do expect strong Typescript fundamentals and a background working with modern frontend frameworks.
We're a venture-backed B2B SaaS startup building automated data movement connectors between enterprise apps and spreadsheets.
Hopted was set up as a fully remote company.
What youll do
- Build new user-facing features with everything from database models to complex Airtable-like UI components
- Optimize existing UIs
- Port Chrome-based browser extension to support other major browsers
- Work on real-time, WebSocket-driven interactions for live data updates
- Integrate AI-powered features into the frontend
- Develop and maintain REST API endpoints (.NET/C#) for handling database retrieval and processing (no deep backend logic required)
- Ensure frontend app reliability and performance by unit testing business logic
- Experiment with new technologies and approaches
- Contribute to frontend architecture and system design decisions
Tech
- Vue.js frontend written in Typescript (Vite + Pinia + Jest)
- WebExtension API
- A Vue component framework (Vuetify)
- WebSockets
- Proprietary APIs that have access to all of the user's data
- .NET/C# in the backend
- Hosted on Microsoft Azure with k8s + CI/CD
- Github, Linear, AI-programming copilots, AI-powered IDEs
Who you are
- Hacker mentality you enjoy tackling tough problems and finding elegant solutions
- TypeScript pro - deep experience with one of the modern front-end frameworks/libraries (React, Vue.js, Angular, etc.)
- API experience can design and implement simple API endpoints for data retrieval and processing
- Product-minded engineer strives to understand business logic and optimizes for user impact
- Bias for action self-driven, able to work independently, and ship quickly
Nice if you have
- Taste in UI and craftsmanship in UX
- Hands-on browser extension development
- Vue as the first word when applying for this position
- Experience in .NET/C# or similar backend technologies
- Familiarity with GenAI/LLMs/RAG
- Background in fast-moving startups and remote work
