Hypercell Games is a mobile game developer and game publisher.

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team and help navigate legal challenges while contributing directly to the companys growth and strategic direction.
Duties and responsibilities
- B2B Legal: draft and negotiate NDAs, service, game publishing, development and license agreements with customers and services providers, collaborate with management and product teams;
- B2B International Compliance: KYC/AML and sanctions reviews of partners and customers, database management;
- HR Legal: manage employment and contractor agreements, relocation and visa related processes, collaborate with HR;
- Compliance Legal: develop and support related systems in the company for GDPR, data protection and compliance, collaborate with external legal firms;
- General Legal Support: draft, review, and negotiate contracts, advise on IP management and protection, software and technology, manage legal matters with external firms;
- Proactive Legal Guidance: advise internal teams on legal risks and provide guidance on key business decisions, constantly review current state of legal processes within the company;
- Procedural Support: provide legal support in drafting internal policies, procedures, etc.;
- Research and Legal Analysis: you will stay up-to-date with legal trends and potential regulatory changes that could influence company operations.
What we expect
- 3-5 years of experience in corporate law, contract law, employment law, and compliance.
- Law Degree with strong academic credentials;
- Experience as an in-house legal counsel working on varied projects or as a consultant at an external legal firm;
- Strong skills in legal drafting and contract negotiation;
- Experience in internal company legal system and database development, implementation and support;
- Experience in working independently without constant management and guidance;
- Demonstrated ability to identify, prioritize and address legal risks and issues proactively and effectively;
- Proficient in legal/business English and Latvian;
- Ability to manage varied workload through proper work balance, prioritisation and delegation;
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and strategic planning skills.
- High degree of confidentiality.
