Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment within the production facility. This role ensures that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, minimising downtime and maximising productivity. The Maintenance Manager will lead a team of maintenance technicians and work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment, including diagnostics and troubleshooting to ensure machines operate efficiently. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to production lines.
- Installation: Install, assemble, and test new equipment, ensuring all systems are properly configured and meet safety standards.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and training to machine operators and other staff as required.
- Compliance: Ensure all machinery and equipment comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Outsourced Services: Oversee the work of outsourced maintenance services to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- A relevant technical or engineering degree is preferred.
