We are seeking a versatile Systems Engineer to join our team, and work in a constantly evolving, dynamic, and agile environment. Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd level support for production IT systems and servers management
- Fix, patch, configure, and solve issues
- Participate in IT infrastructure projects, such as compliance, obsolescence, upgrades, re-platform, optimization, performance tuning, migration to could etc.
- Production environment support according to the schedule outside office hours
- Participation in your team's day-to-day activities including tools development, operations, maintenance, and support
- Being an active member in our agile events like daily stand-ups, planning, retros, and demos. etc.
- Fostering team spirit, quality, and technical agility
Who Are We Looking For
We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what is next people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:
- You are passionate about learning new things and staying up to date in modern development frameworks and methodologies
- You have a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, distributed systems, software engineering, or another equivalent field
- You believe in communication and collaboration, and are a true team player with a positive, humble attitude
- You are responsive and happy to share your expertise with others
- 1-3 years experience in system administration (1st and 2 level support) preferably within fintech/telco/banking/energy. Other sectors also counts
- Ability to react to incidents and do meaningful maintenance works also out of business hours (paid hours according to the company policy)
- Practical background with Linux, preferably RHEL, however other experience also counts
- Practical experience working in virtualization platforms
- Optional experience running services in public cloud environment
- Ability to cooperate and collaborate within the team and with client
- Latvian and English language skills are needed for this position
- Knowledge about payment processing flows is an advantage
