Job description
Paynt in Riga, Latvia is growing and expanding its Riga IT hub. Therefore, we are looking for someone interested in high-quality code (PHP), development of smooth integrations and customization of current and new products.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop applications for financial & payment products;
- Update, repair, modify and develop existing software and generic applications;
- Adapt the program to new requirements;
- Consult manuals, periodicals, and technical reports;
- Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code;
- Support and package deployment of releases;
- Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on time and within the budget;
- Document system internals.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Software Developer;
- Experience working with application containers - Docker, Docker Compose, K8s;
- Understanding of code quality principles - SOLID, KISS, YAGNI, etc.;
- Extensive knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases;
- Good grasp of a programmer's basic toolkit - keyboard, GIT, Bash, etc.;
- Experience with items of our tech stack: PHP, Laravel, Symphony, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Angular.js, Rust, .NET, Docker, Kubernetes;
- Curiosity about programming and willingness to learn;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Great communication and collaboration skills;
- Fluency in English, both: verbal and written;
- Experience in FinTech projects is a plus.
