Join our team! We are looking for a Finance Business Analyst in Riga HQ office!

The role is primarily based in Riga, Latvia, however travel to 4finance offices across Europe may be necessary.
The key objective of the Project (to which this assignment relates) is to research and document the sub-ledger’s as-is and required functionality of an integrated in-house Front Office – Back Office platform for consumer lending products and its interface to General Ledger.

Main responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work within the Finance team in Group Headquarters and several markets to:

• Manage external advisors to analyze and document sub-ledger accounting requirements for products in scope from both Group and local Reporting perspectives
• Perform gap analysis and recommend system configuration options (booking in loan system or redirecting some functionality to the General Ledger)
• Collect and document Finance functional requirements for loan system; feeds to GL; relevant systems outputs; reconciliations within loan system and with General Ledger
• Define and document process control requirements for sub-ledger bookings in the loan system and General Ledger where relevant, including access and data modification restrictions
• Jointly with other Group Finance team members, validate the existing data model in a data warehouse used for Finance reporting, define and document requirements for change if relevant, including upstream system feeds specifications
• Act as key Finance representative for IT

Required knowledge, skills and qualifications:

• Deep experience in Finance, with detailed knowledge of accounting standards and booking logic
• At least 5 years’ experience in similar roles within the Financial Services Industry (ideally within Banks)
• Excellent understanding of Finance systems (including cash sub-ledgers), front-to-back booking processes and control requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to self-manage and prioritize
• Highly proficient in Excel and other MS Office applications
• Fluent English
