Expert in drone-based solutions for the mining industry
SPH Engineering is a global provider of Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle (UAV) software solutions, integration services, consulting, and custom development to expand drone applications. Its innovations support UAVs of different manufacturers, advancing drone technologies for surveying, data collection, and entertainment. Founded in 2013 in Latvia (EU), the company has a global customer and partner network in 150+ countries.
We have been creating drone-based solutions for streamlining mining operations for several years. Now, dozens of customers worldwide use our hardware and software solutions for drone-based geophysical and geotechnical data acquisition. We want to take this product line to the next level and seek an experienced leader to help us grow our business in this market.
Responsibilities
- Complete ownership and accountability over customer revenue in the mining industry;
- Creating and driving growth strategy in the market, including solutions portfolio, go-to-market, and customer acquisition strategies;
- Driving collaboration with Product and Technology teams to adapt existing portfolios to new business opportunities;
- Identifying and recruiting new partners, suppliers, and vendors to expand our offering to customers;
- Supporting the Sales team on complex sales by providing domain expertise, training, and in-depth knowledge of products and solutions portfolios;
- Together with the Marketing team, planning and executing marketing campaigns to acquire new customers and develop existing ones.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of the mining industry, related operational processes (surveying, mineral exploration, mining operations, health & safety, etc.), and key players in the market;
- At least five years of experience in one of the following niches: mining services, mineral exploration, geophysics, surveying;
- A proven product, business development, or marketing experience;
- Effective interpersonal skills and comfort working in and through a cross-functional organization;
- Work independently, with an entrepreneurial and growth mindset while also effectively working as a part of a team;
- Strong analytical aptitude and ability to understand and relate to the engineering mindset;
- Highly attentive to detail and organization, strong business acumen;
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills;
- Full professional proficiency in English;
- Readiness to business trips.
