QA Assistant
The customer of I-Work is a manufacturing company that produces sustainable and organic food ingredients and food products, which has recently been acquired, bringing international know-how and best practices to the company. Main responsibilities
- Develop, implement and manage an integrated program to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, sanitation and regulatory requirements for food products and operations;
- Manage serious product incidents through the product crisis management process;
- Coach and train Quality Assurance staff to ensure consistent interpretation and application of standards and procedures;
- Contribute to cross-functional project teams to develop and implement new quality assurance programs and process improvements;
- Collaborate globally to align QA programs across the company;
- Update department manuals, standards, training programs and operational tools as needed;
- Monitor and maintain a quality assurance and quality control system;
- Analyse quality metrics, customer feedback and workgroup input;
- Host quality audits from certification bodies and customers;
- Conduct statistical analyses of food safety and quality data to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- University degree in appropriate discipline;
- Fluency in English;
- Experience with QA measuring and testing equipment;
- Two to five years' experience in QA;
- Knowledge of safety requirements and legal standards;
- Working knowledge of quality system requirements;
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, Project Management and Analytics software.
