Skills and experience needed:

University degree (preferably in Law)
Excellent knowledge of Latvian and English languages
At least 2 years of experience in AML/Sanctions management (preferably in finance industry)
Understanding of compliance function in financial group
Excellent knowledge of laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia
Experience in risk control
Experience in document preparation
Preferable knowledge in consumer lending processes
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities:

Leading the AML (Anti Money Laundering and Compliance function of company
Ensuring AML and Sanctions control according to existing laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia
Business process and customer monitoring in terms of AML, consulting other employees on AML issues
Reviewing and updating existing company and group policies, such as AML/Sanctions Policy, Internal Control System, Risk Assessments and supporting documentation
Controlling all business unit process compliance with the rules and regulations the group upholds, adapting groups compliance policies to local environment
Quarterly compliance assurance and report preparation for the group management
Participating in and providing compliance consulting and support for projects and initiatives to identify and mitigate regulatory risk in business activities
Identifying improvement opportunities to ensure compliance with group standards, policies and procedures
Communication with regulator
Performing other compliance related tasks
