We are inviting a Financial Reporting & Accounting (FRA) Specialist Baltics (fixed-term position - maternity cover) to join the team in Riga and act as a key point of contact for the Sandoz Baltic, Global/ Regional FRA and tax stakeholders in a scope of financial reporting and control, accounting and tax compliance activities.
Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include activities on a Baltic level, but are not limited to:
- Invoice management, monitoring open balances.
- Expense & Purchase Oversight: review expense reports and recurring invoices, approve purchase orders.
- Tax Reporting Support: assist in preparing input information for VAT, CIT and other tax reports.
- Financial Data Preparation: prepare structured documents or datasets used for analysis, statistics, reporting or system integration.
- Compliance Monitoring: ensure adherence to tax legislation, accounting standards and internal policies.
- Expense Tracking: monitor fuel, phone and Medical Representatives expenses; ensure timely and compliant reporting.
- Record Keeping & Analysis: maintain accurate financial records, provide ad hoc reports and analysis.
- Process Improvement: participate in finance projects, support control implementation and contribute to process optimizations.
- Audit & Quality Compliance: support audit activities.
- KPIs: compliance with law and requirements of internal controls, accuracy, timely service to the internal clients.
What you'll bring to the role:
- University Degree in Finance/ Accounting/ Audit/ Business
- 2+ years experience across Tax, Financial reporting and accounting; experience in pharma industry and/or professional services would be an advantage
- Experience in managing communication with tax authorities, multiple senior stakeholders
- Strong Excel skills, experience with SAP system
- Excellent communication skills, customer focus and innovation
- High learning agility, ethics
Languages:
- Excellent written and verbal skills in both local (Latvian) language and English are necessary to be able to perform the work duties.
