The Role:

As a DevOps Lead, you will take technical ownership of complex client engagements, lead project pods and drive architecture and delivery decisions from design through production. You will guide engineers through complex client challenges and remain hands-on where it matters. The role combines strong technical execution with leadership, ownership and direct client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Deploy-Anywhere Kubernetes Foundation: lead the architecture, implementation, and evolution of highly scalable and portable Kubernetes-native platforms. Set technical direction around Kubernetes (k8s), ArgoCD and Argo Workflows as the core runtime and control plane.
Argo-Powered Self-Service: own the design of controlled self-service workflows. Use ArgoCD as the desired-state control plane and Argo Workflows as the execution layer for operational automation. Define reusable operational blueprints for platform, release, database, FinOps, observability, security and migration operations.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Only: define infrastructure boundaries, cloud resources and service composition exclusively through code using Terraform and Crossplane. Ensure reproducibility, clear ownership and zero undocumented manual changes.
GitOps First: implement a strict GitOps approach for desired-state reconciliation, controlled promotion across environments and reliable rollback behaviors.
Complex Migrations: lead challenging transformation programs, including legacy-to-Kubernetes, cloud-to-cloud, database modernization and self-service operating model migrations. Break complex work into clear technical plans and guide the team through delivery.
Observability Excellence: establish and maintain robust observability stacks (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Mimir, Loki, Grafana) to connect signals to operational workflows and enable self-healing, immutable setups.
Modern Cloud Infrastructure: own architecture decisions across AWS networking, security, managed databases and edge delivery while maintaining the ability to deploy solutions anywhere. Drive high-intensive compute design, cost efficiency (FinOps), peak-load readiness and effective use of spot and on-demand capacity.
Security & Guardrails: embed security into delivery flows using tools like Kyverno, Trivy and strict identity controls (Policy-as-Code).
CI/CD Automation: set the technical approach for release automation across various CI systems and ensure reliable integration with our Argo-powered deployment pipelines.

What We Expect From You:

Senior Cloud Experience: deep hands-on AWS experience with the ability to design, review and lead delivery of secure, high-load and scalable cloud platforms.
Kubernetes Mastery: deep, hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm and the broader cloud-native ecosystem.
GitOps & Automation: proven experience with ArgoCD, Argo Workflows and a strong passion for automating everything possible.
IaC Proficiency: solid experience with Terraform; experience with Crossplane is a significant plus.
Observability Focus: strong skills in the Grafana/Prometheus/ELK stack and a dedication to observability excellence.
Scripting/Programming: experience in Python or similar scripting languages for automation and API development.
Technical Leadership & Ownership: proven experience leading technical decisions, mentoring engineers and guiding project pods. You are comfortable taking ownership of architecture, delivery quality, technical risks and difficult engineering decisions.
Client & Team Communication: excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. You can explain technical decisions clearly to engineers, client stakeholders and leadership, and you are comfortable leading technical discussions and workshops.

Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, RDS, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, Redis

Bonus points:

Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure;
AWS certifications or equivalent cloud credentials;
Experience leading complex cloud architecture and transformation programs;
Experience with technical pre-sales, estimations, discovery workshops or solution design;
Knowledge of FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization practices.
