Position: Business Navigation Manager Location: Riga

As Business Navigation Manager you will be pro-active business partner to Market Manager and Functional Managers within the market, with focus on value creation, providing data-driven insights and supporting decision-making process to strengthen business performance. You will lead Accounting Team and Finance controller and be a part of Management Team. You will identify new opportunities and initiate actions that will contribute to IKEA growth and make our customers happy. Your tools are data, facts and figures, to which you add insights and recommendations. You will also assure that company’s accounting processes are efficient and tax compliant. We expect you to be enthusiastic and able to spot business opportunities behind data.

What you will be doing:

• Proactively contribute to business planning/budgeting, incl. yearly pricing process, sales and GM forecasting, staff costs, OPEX and CAPEX.
• Drive and coordinate the financial business planning process to secure that the financial dimensions are aligned with the market challenges and priorities involving and creating commitment among stakeholders when setting goals.
• Support market management team to create Actions Plans for their areas of responsibility based on the market business plan, agreed goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), communicate Financial Goals (P&L).
• Lead the follow-up processes to ensure focus on delivering the business, action plans and financial goals. Securing that market short and long-term priorities and financial results are not jeopardised.
• Promote more effective and cost-conscious ways of working to make the market quicker, leaner, and simpler, and through this lower our cost base.
• Steer effective use of people resources through using productivity measurement to ensure we constantly evaluate and improve our staff planning and keep the cost as planned.
• Proactively provide business analyses and insights on commercial opportunities– regular and ad hoc, Return on Investments, builds Business Cases.
• Maintain and improve sales and margin budgeting, forecasting and follow up process, comment on deviations, analysis margin.
• Seen by co-workers in all functions as an approachable, trustworthy, and knowledgeable speaking partner who lead by example and taking a multidimensional approach to steering the business.

• University degree in finance or business administration.
• Solid finance management knowledge and 3+ years of experience in Finance Manager or Leading Business controller positions, experience in Retail would be an advantage.
• Well developed commercial mindset: ability to understand each business unit specifics, outline business development as well as efficiency and productivity criterias, manage improvements.
• Experience in leadership role.
• Proficiency in planning, forecasting, and budget development and ability to present result.
• Knowledge about data and finance analysis concepts, methods, BI tools and be advanced in Excel.

• Team player, Business Partnering, Communication and Collaboration skills.
• Fluent written and spoken knowledge of Latvian and English.
