CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

About the role

RIGA WATERFRONT is a major construction and development project in Riga, Latvia. We are expanding our project delivery team and are looking for an experienced Construction Manager who can operate effectively in a multidisciplinary, international project environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating site construction activities, ensuring efficient execution, quality, programme adherence, cost control, safety, and technical compliance. Lead the site construction team and oversee day-to-day building operations in accordance with the approved construction programme, project design, contractual requirements, quality standards, and HSE regulations, while coordinating with subcontractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the project.

Key responsibilities

Oversee overall site management and construction coordination.
coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure efficient execution of construction activities.
monitor progress against the approved baseline programme and implement corrective actions where necessary.
coordinate work fronts, construction sequencing, and interfaces between different trades.
ensure workmanship and construction activities comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, contractual requirements, and quality standards.
manage site logistics, labour, equipment, and material resources.
coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
identify construction risks, constraints, and potential delays and implement appropriate mitigation and recovery measures.
lead and participate in site coordination meetings.
maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and construction documentation.
ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements throughout all site activities.

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of relevant construction management experience, preferably on large-scale building and development projects.
degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
valid Latvian construction practice certificate or equivalent professional certification required, in accordance with applicable Latvian regulations.
strong knowledge of construction methods, work sequencing, quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
proven experience managing subcontractors, site operations, and multidisciplinary construction teams.
strong leadership, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
good command of English.
knowledge of Latvian and/or Russian is an advantage.
proficiency in MS Office and construction planning and project management software.

Salary: 5500 gross per month
